UFIT Exiting Employees Processes
  Service Notes Success Measures
1 Termination Process:

For regular terminations (eligible for re-hire)

  • Supervising Manager submits “Job Change” service request via myRequest and attaches the notice of resignation.
    Notice of Resignation must contain:

    • Date of Submission
    • Last day of work and/or effective date
    • Signature of Employee
  • BC submits termination via myUFL and uploads termination documentation
  • BC provides the Supervising Manager and employee:
    • Acceptance of Resignation
    • Instructions on next steps
    • (TEAMS) Cashout notification
    • (OPS) Retirement account information
    • Exit Checklist(s)
  • BC notifies CIO Administration for Exit Interview
  • BC notifies Project Management Office via myIT.
  • *BC initiates IT Deprovisioning service request with Technology Support Services (TSS).
  • BC coordinates the removal of any and all security roles.
  • BC coordinates the deactivation of the employee’s Gator 1 card.
  • BC removes employee from Traveler’s list, as needed.
  • BC notifies the Supervising Manager and interested parties of any and all approvals during termination process.

 

For terminations with cause (non-rehire or restricted re-hire)

  • Supervising Manager contacts BC directly prior to submitting service request.
  • BC provides supervising department with termination letter.
  • Supervising Manager submits “Job Change” service request via myRequest and attaches the notice of resignation.
    Notice of Resignation must contain:

    • Date of Submission
    • Last day of work and/or effective date
    • Signature of Employee
  • BC submits termination via myUFL and uploads termination documentation
  • BC provides the Supervising Manager and employee:
    • Acceptance of Resignation
    • Instructions on next steps
    • (TEAMS) Cashout notification
    • (OPS) Retirement account information
  • BC notifies Project Management Office via myIT.

Turnaround time is contingent upon any and all required documentation submitted in completion.

 

 Effective date is the day after employee’s last day of work.

  • BC coordinates the removal of any and all security roles.
  • BC coordinates the deactivation of the employee’s Gator 1 card.
  • BC notifies the PM and interested parties of any and all approvals during termination process.

  • *BC initiates IT Deprovisioning service request with Technology Support Services (TSS), as needed.
  • BC coordinates the removal of any and all security roles.
  • BC coordinates the deactivation of the employee’s Gator 1 card.
  • BC notifies the Internship Program Lead and interested parties of any and all approvals during termination process.
