Hiring a New UFIT Employee (TEAMS & OPS)

Posting Process:

  1. Hiring Manager submits “Job Posting” service request via myRequest.
  2. BC and Hiring Manager review position description to ensure accuracy.
  3. BC prepares and submits job posting via Careers at UF.

Applicant Review:

  1. After the posting has closed the Hiring Manager and Search Committee review should begin and interviews conducted.

Hire Decision/Offer:

  1. Hiring Manager notifies BC of applicant statuses and chosen applicant.
  2. BC coordinates education verification with Core HRS.
  3. BC provides Hiring Manager with clearance for offer, including:
    • Letter of Offer
    • Preferred Start Dates
  4. Instructions on documentation required to be completed by Hiring Manager, (i.e. experience verification, reference checks, etc.).
  5. Hiring Manager presents verbal and official offer to final candidate.
  6. Hiring Manager provides signed letter of offer or letter of acceptance to BC.

Hire and Onboarding:

  1. BC meets with new employee to complete new hire paperwork, collect hiring documents and review important information.
  2. The BC will coordinate:
    • Background check with Core HRS.
    • Identity creation with employee, TSS, and manager.
    • Creation of employee’s Project & Portfolio Management profile with the PMO.
    • IT Provisioning service request with Technology Support Services (TSS).
    • The creation of the initial security role request via myRequest and provides the new employee with the general roles identified by the units per job title and/or classification.
  3. BC notifies the Hiring Manager, new employee, and interested parties of the clearance and approval to begin work.

Hiring New Consultants & Interns

Affilation & Onboarding:

  1. Project Manager / Program Lead will submit "HR Other" service request via myRequest and attached the appropiate Demographic form.
  2. BC meets with new employee to complete paperwork and review important information.
    1. The BC will coordinate:
      • Background check with Core HRS.
      • Identity creation with employee, TSS, and manager.
      • Creation of employee’s Project & Portfolio Management profile with the PMO.
      • IT Provisioning service request with Technology Support Services (TSS).
      • The creation of the initial security role request via myRequest and provides the new employee with the general roles identified by the units per job title and/or classification.
    2. BC notifies the Hiring Manager, new employee, and interested parties of the clearance and approval to begin work.
